Founded in 2013, Thai Syok is a vibrant Thai restaurant rooted in the bold and authentic flavors of Southern Thailand. Spearheaded by   F&B veteran Jeffred Tham, Thai Syok is known for its commitment to quality, using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients imported directly from Thailand. The name “Syok” reflects the joy and satisfaction we aim to deliver with every dish. Beyond food, we create a lively and welcoming dining experience with personalized service, themed promotions, and our signature “Syok Rewards” loyalty program. Thai Syok is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where community, culture, and flavor come together.

            With over 21 years of hands-on experience in the food and beverage industry, Jeffred is the visionary behind Thai Syok & Sanoothai, brands built on the foundations of authenticity, operational excellence, and scalable systems.

​

             Jeffred’s journey began at the age of 18 in Melbourne, where he worked his way up from waiter to kitchen assistant while studying hospitality management. His early exposure to real-world restaurant operations formed the bedrock of his deep understanding of both the front and back of house.

​

             He later honed his expertise at Wynn Macau, one of the world’s most prestigious integrated resorts. There, he led the creation of the first-ever F&B Academy in Macau, overseeing the training of over 1,300 food and beverage professionals across 34 departments. His leadership extended to the pre-opening and operational development of the Michelin 2-star restaurant Golden Flower, collaborating with some of the finest chefs in the world.

              In 2013, Jeffred returned to Malaysia and founded Thai Syok, where he applied his knowledge to build a sustainable, customer-focused, and performance-driven Thai seafood brand. At its peak, Thai Syok grew to five outlets, thanks to Jeffred’s dedication to replicable SOPs, team training frameworks, and end-to-end operational controls.

               Today, Jeffred is actively expanding Thai Syok through licensing opportunities for passionate entrepreneurs who believe in quality, consistency, and long-term brand growth. In parallel, he offers F&B consulting services to restaurant owners and investors looking to improve profitability, streamline operations, or build new concepts from the ground up.
